Jeff Goldblatt of Fox News reported in early June that
“Across America seven days a week, parents drop their kids at day care centers, which are supported by funding from the federal government.
But what makes one facility noteworthy in inner city Chicago is that it’s run by Trinity United Church of Christ. It’s the same church whose former head pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, drew widespread scrutiny after he cursed the U.S. government for its treatment of African-Americans.
FOX News has learned that over the last 15 years, Trinity has received at least $15 million in grants from the federal government — in other words, taxpayer money.
Records show this money supported a variety of outreach: everything from low income housing to nutritional programs for needy kids to money for HIV/AIDS education. Wright blames the government for intentionally infecting the African-American community with that deadly virus.”
Andrew Walsh, associate director of the Leonard E. Greenberg Center for the Study of Religion in Public Life with Trinity College in Hartford, Conn., said Wright’s practices fall in line with his preaching.
“Wright believes things like the government-funded programs are a necessary compensation for the legacy of white racism, part of what’s necessary to heal the wounds inflicted over four centuries on blacks.”

This is all good for the people in south Chicago but how is this good for tax payers? Obama is trying to appear like he is the middle ground on an election battlefield. Is he trying to take care of his own at the taxpayers expense? This program is a socialist approach to Government. We need to encourage people to become self-sufficient and successful by finding employment that has a higher wage and start more small businesses. Is this showing good judgment by creating more government red tape to a sea of already growing problems?

Obama proposes to elevate the program to a "moral center" of his administration, by renaming it the Council for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, and changing training from occasional huge conferences to empowering larger religious charities to mentor smaller ones in their communities. (May I ask who this will benefit? Rev Wright already has a 10 million dollar line of credit from his church and they are building him a huge house on a golf course in a white neighborhood as reported by Bill O’reilly. )
Obama claims social service spending has been shortchanged under Bush, and he also proposes a $500 million per year program to provide summer learning for 1 million poor children to help close achievement gaps with white and wealthier students. A campaign fact sheet said he would pay for it by better managing surplus federal properties, reducing growth in the federal travel budget and streamlining the federal procurement process. Pre-Kindergarten programs are very costly. In Ohio some districts are charging parents up to $2500.00 to send their children to school all day in required Kindergarten. Otherwise your child only receives a half a day of education. Wouldn’t it make more sense to make sure every child in America can attend a full day of education at this level before tapping more tax dollars for pre-kindergarten head-start programs?
Some critics point out “When it comes to promises to helping the poor, promises are easy," said David Kuo,” but also added “The question is commitment.”

Expanding Bush’s program falls in line with supporting programs that are trying to grow at Father Pflegers catholic church located in Chicago. Obama’s campaign manager is the head fundraising guru for Pflegers Church. Is this a conflict of interests? The Chicago Swamp reported that “ The Catholic League lashed out at Father Pfleger and Obama on May 30th2008:
“Obama and Pfleger are no strangers. Indeed, when Obama was in the state senate in Illinois, he conveniently arranged for Father Pfleger’s St. Sabina’s Church to receive state monies for its social programs. Of course, the guardians of church and state separation said nothing then and they are saying nothing now. That’s because they’re all in the tank for Obama. Just as important, why is it that of all the wonderful Catholic priests in the Chicago Archdiocese, Obama long ago chose Pfleger to hang with? Truth be known, Pfleger has a very troubling history: he has welcomed the anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan to preach in his church; he has hired prostitutes to worship there; he has been arrested for defacing billboards; and he once urged the crowd at an anti-gun rally to hunt down a gun store owner ‘like a rat’ and ‘snuff’ him.
Senator Obama says he wants to bring people together. Then why does he choose as his clerical friends people like Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Father Pfleger? They are two peas in a pod, both equally divisive, separated only by the color of their skin."

There has been little published information on the fact that Rev. Wrights Church has a lobbyist in congress. He lobbies for slave reparations. I am asking you is this another way to have the government create more social programs that give back to the inner cities communities that have Churches preaching Black Theology which includes the belief of redistribution of wealth from the Whites to the Blacks? Is this what Obama’s goal is if he becomes President? After all he did spend twenty years in Rev. Wrights Church? What kind of America do you want to live in?
